TITLE: Development of a Specialized Portable Device for Testing and Debugging Electronic Control Units of Gearboxes and Diesel Engines
The purpose of this research proposal is the development of a specialized portable device for testing and debugging Electronic Control Units (ECUs) of gearboxes and diesel engines. By using this device, the user will be able to take control of automatic hydraulic gearboxes from various manufacturers, which are currently used in heavy construction machinery and buses, and will extend to passenger vehicles in the future. Furthermore, it will allow the user to start and control electronic internal combustion diesel engines used in construction equipment, marine vessels, electrical generators, and all types of machinery and vehicles. Finally, it will enable the highly precise control—matching Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications—of all types of analog or digital hydraulic valves.

The purpose of this research project is to develop an integrated system consisting of a gait analysis device and a telemetry and data analysis platform, aimed at the systematic remote monitoring of Parkinson's disease patients. The system is part of a 5A's self-management approach (ask, advise, assess, assist, and arrange), which will be supported by the web platform to be developed.
